The End of the Beginning or the Beginning of the End?

It is officially the beginning of my last day in United States. By this time tomorrow I will be somewhere above the Pacific 5 hours from touchdown. Today was full of baggage drama, emotions running high, a few stress outs, a handful of minor crisis and good old fashioned home mom cooked American lasagna with my wonderful family. :]

I am so tired of packing that if I never have to do it again it may be too soon. Which makes me not excited about unpacking at orientation at all and then having to pack everything back up to move to my apartment. At least it won't be everything and space was certainly not a limiting factor so no issues there. I just wish the airlines would allow more weight. Or lessen the overage fees so I could go over :] I only get 2 checked bags for free, 50 lbs or under, and a carryon 15 lbs or under and one personal item, which sounds like a lot but really is not. I could fit almost everything I wanted to take in the bags, but they all weighed waaaay too much and since I'm not willing to pay $180 ($70 to American Airlines and $110 to Singapore Airlines), my options are... limited to say the least. So, I reduced the bags so each one is .5lbs under and will be expecting a good sized box containing all winter clothing I currently own, shoes, jeans, and other things I could not apply antigravity to in my bags. Unfortunately, this of course, perches itself nicely atop my mountain o' stress. Hopefully I will be able to relax tomorrow once I'm on the plane. I won't have anything else to worry about and nothing I can do about the things I am still apprehensive about so it should be good.
